FOCIM Celebrates Love Month Through Love Reels

True love can be encapsulated within a single reel. This was the wonderful idea behind

the “love month” activity organized by FOCIM’s Couples Ministry led by Ministry team couple

Bro. Bodge and Sis. Roanna Santos. The said activity was entitled “Love Reels: Sharing Christ’s

Love” and it encouraged FOCIM couples to create a heartfelt Facebook reel dedicated to their

respective partners. The mechanics were as follows:

• Each reel should be at least 30 to 60 seconds long expressing Christ’s love

• Should include a Bible verse on love

• Must use the #LoveReelsFOCIM

• All reels should be posted by February 14 tagging FOCIM’s Facebook page with the

  caption “Celebrating Christ’s love this Valentine’s through #LoveReelsFOCIM!. My reel is

  dedicated to (name). Let’s keep spreading God’s love!”

  
  

Last February 16, there was a special program after the service to award the best love reel.

Bro. Mynard Buleche was the program host. Prior to the presentation of the love reels, there

were two very fun “couples games” that were played, namely “Biscuit rush” and “How well do

you know your partner?”. Both games definitely brought out the challenge and excitement for

our beloved FOCIM couples. After the games, all reels were shown to the congregation. The

following FOCIM couples’ love reels were shown:

• Bro. Mynard Buleche and Sis. Kristel Dionisio

• Bro. Elso and Sis. Vicky Cabangon

• Bro. Bodge and Sis. Roanna Santos

• Bro. Jayson and Sis. Mich Sagadal

• Bro. JP and Sis. Danika

There was no doubt that every love reel shown truly highlighted the love of Christ and touched

the heart of each person who was there. The Ministry Team Pastors and Pastoras were given

the unenviable task of choosing the best love reel as judges. At the end of the program, the

winners were announced:

Most Creative: Bro. Mynard and Sis. Kristel

Most Engaging: Bro. JP and Sis. Danika

The winners received an exclusive SPA Premier Couples Massage and a fabulous grocery

package for 2 – perfect for celebrating love and relaxation! Indeed, the “Love Reels” activity

truly captured the essence of love month by having our Facebook feeds flooded with Christ-

centered love. The event organized by the FOCIM Couples Ministry was truly a success and we

cannot wait for next year’s love month activity.
